About this book

In the past few years, Rolexes have found the same kind of value in assets as vintage cars, real estate, and art. Especially in the case of vintage models, the value of Rolexes has gained a solid reputation worldwide, and there are collectors all over the world. Even on the Internet news, several times a year, there are articles about vintage Rolexes sold for few million US dollars! Many of them are actually sold for unbelievable price at prominent auction houses held in Europe, the United States, and Hong Kong.

This book features such vintage Rolex collectors and introduces their collections. The book includes not only the best-kept treasures of the stores, but also many super-special collections of top collectors in Hong Kong, a country that is said to be the most Rolex-loving country in the world. Since many collectors own dozens to over a hundred Rolexes individually, this book introduces only a small portion of their collections, but it is a collection of gems typical of the Lightning Archives series. The book is so full of rare models that the rare Paul Newman dials, military Submariners, and Submariners with 3, 6, and 9 Explorer dials seem like ordinary models.
