About the Photographer

Yusuke Matsuyama

Born in Nagano, Japan, Yusuke Matsuyama graduated from Aichi University and the Department of Photography at Tokyo Visual Arts. After joining Shueisha Studio in 2006, he began working in advertising and portrait photography before joining chiyoda-studio, where he is currently based.

Widely respected by leading hair salons and hairstylists throughout Japan, Matsuyama has established himself as one of the foremost photographers in hair creative photography. His work has contributed to numerous award-winning entries at the Japan Hairdressing Awards (JHA) as well as many other prestigious photography competitions.
